The difference between dewweed and dew grass

The difference between dewweed and dew grass

The main difference

The difference in appearance

The appearance of these two flowers is quite similar, both are daisy-shaped, but the colors are slightly different. Although they are both bright warm colors, they can still be distinguished when placed together, because the dew grass is more pink and the dew lily is more purple. The petals are relatively dense, like dyed daisies.

The difference in the location where you can appreciate

The leaves of the dew flower are very beautiful, and there is no problem in growing it in potted plants. Although the leaves are very thin, they are very ornamental. Because the leaves are fleshy, you basically spend more time looking at the leaves. The dew grass is also called the dayflower. Each leaf is relatively larger and the leaves are relatively thicker, so you can enjoy both the flowers and the leaves.

Difference in usage

Dew grass not only looks good, but is also edible. It can be eaten cold or fried. It is really delicious. But the dew lily cannot be eaten. Although it is not poisonous and I have never eaten it, I think it is better not to try it. However, this kind of flower is easier to cultivate, so there is absolutely no problem if you want to use it for viewing.

Difference in origin

Although both plants originally grew in South Africa, the dewberry is found in the southeastern and central hilly areas, while the latter is found near the Limpopo River basin. However, they were later introduced to my country and became more common varieties in my country.

Tips

Dew grass can be found in all major parks and flower beds. Maybe friends usually don’t notice it, but another advantage of this grass is that it only needs to be planted once and can be grown many times. There is basically no need to worry about the yield, and the growing period is relatively long. They often appear in vegetable tourist parks!
