What temperature should I move my succulents back indoors?

Low temperatures can cause chilling and freezing damage to meat

Here the damage caused by low temperature is divided into two types. One is chilling damage, which is the damage to meat caused by temperatures above freezing point; the other is frost damage, which is the damage to meat caused by temperatures below freezing point. Some succulents can't even withstand cold damage, let alone frost damage. Chilling damage can also cause the death of succulents.

At what temperature should succulents be placed indoors?

There is no uniform answer to this question. However, for novice succulent growers, under normal circumstances, when the outdoor temperature is 5 degrees, they should be moved indoors. At the same time, when the temperature drops to around 15 degrees, gradually reduce watering. Experienced succulent growers will gradually move the plants outdoors according to the differences of each type of succulent. This is something we should learn from them.

Different types of meat can adapt to low temperatures

Fairy succulents: When the outdoor temperature drops to 5 degrees, they should be moved indoors, such as the succulents, thorny succulents, and naked calyx types;

Root succulents: When the temperature is 10 degrees, they should be moved indoors, such as Euphorbia.

12-volume succulents: They have the same or higher minimum temperature than tuberous roots, such as Jade Fan, Vientiane, Jade Dew, Striped Haworthia, Crystal Palm, etc.

Passionfruit succulents: They are similar to fairy succulents and can be moved outdoors before the temperature drops to 5 degrees, such as Lithops, Staghorn Begonia, Sesame, Isuzudama, etc.
