illumination

Jade lotus originally grows in hot and humid environments and is suitable for growing in a warm environment. Introduced and cultivated in southern my country. This kind of succulent is shade-tolerant and does not require as much light. However, if the plant is placed in an environment lacking light for a long time, it will cause deformation and affect the viewing experience. In summer, they should be placed in a cool place indoors. After winter, they should be placed in a sunny place, such as a balcony or windowsill of the house.

temperature

The suitable growth temperature of Jade Lotus is between 10-25℃. If the temperature drops below 10 degrees, you may freeze to death.

Watering

Spring and Autumn

This is the time when the plant grows rapidly. It needs plenty of watering and should be planted in a larger container to prevent the size of the flower container from being inappropriate for the size of the plant. Avoid watering during rainy weather.

summer

Summer is a difficult season for Jade Lotus. Jade Lotus cannot tolerate high temperatures and is prone to lack of water in summer, causing its leaves to wrinkle and even fall off in severe cases. Therefore, the amount of watering should be controlled. Jade Lotus will go dormant in summer, so the main task in summer is to ensure the survival of Jade Lotus. In hot and humid weather, you can use a shower head to spray water on the leaves.

winter

The temperature is relatively low in winter, and the growth and breathing of Jade Lotus are very slow, so you should reduce watering appropriately.

Fertilization

Use clean water or diluted fertilizer solution for watering. Do not apply raw fertilizer or concentrated fertilizer. Jade Lotus cannot tolerate raw and concentrated fertilizer, which can easily cause fertilizer damage. You can also use a small pot to hold the fertilizer liquid and spray it on the leaves. During the growing season, apply fertilizer once every half month.

soil

Similar to general succulents, the soil requires to be loose and breathable. The soil can be mixed with leaf mold, peat soil, sand and stone, and appropriate fertilizer can be added. You can also mix some perlite and peat soil as planting soil.

prune

Newly grown jade lotus seedlings should be topped when they grow to 10 cm in height to ensure better growth of the plants. When pruning, look at the overall growth of the plant and cut off the long branches appropriately.
