Will the plant die after taking root and blooming?

1. Will the plant die after flowering?

It is a very common succulent plant. It is very easy to reproduce and has powerful abilities. It lives up to its name. It only takes a small amount of time to grow a new plant and can reproduce offspring in a very short time. It blooms from January to March. Many people say that it does not have the ability to bloom, which is wrong. If it blooms, it will consume the nutrients it has accumulated, so it rarely grows flowers, and the flowers will easily die after blooming.

2. How to care after flowering

1. Pruning

If the plant gets old, the stems gradually become woody, and if they grow ugly and not straight, its visual effect will be reduced. You should remove a section of the stem to help it grow a new stem faster. You can cut off a part of it that is not diseased and in good growth condition for regrowth, and you can mix rotten leaves and sand as a substrate.

2. Water and fertilizer

You need to wait until the soil is dry before watering. Don't worry about it lacking water because it is relatively drought-tolerant. You don’t need to add fertilizer too often, otherwise the plant will grow too vigorously and rot. Give it plenty of sunlight, otherwise the edges of the leaves will fade. The temperature is still relatively low during the flowering season, and the indoor temperature needs to be kept above seven degrees Celsius.

3. Pest and disease control

When the flowers are in bloom, they are likely to attract some small insects, and their health may be affected by diseases. If they get powdery mildew or aphids, you can spray them with thiophanate-methyl at a concentration of 70 percent. Or you can spray with dimethoate emulsifiable concentrate at a concentration of 40 percent.
