The cultivation methods and precautions of Fuchsia

The cultivation methods and precautions of Fuchsia

1. Soil

Use loose, well-drained soil, and the culture soil can be made from a mixture of sand, humus and decomposed cake fertilizer powder. Every year when the growing season is approaching, new potting soil should be replaced, and the soil can be loosened appropriately in autumn.

2. Fertilization

During its growing period, you can apply fertilizer every 7-10 days. If there is insufficient nutrients, it will be difficult for it to bloom the second time, so be sure to apply fertilizer in moderation.

3. Watering

It is necessary to control the amount of watering and keep the soil in the pot moist. If the soil in the pot is too dry or too wet, it will cause leaves to fall. If the soil in the pot is in a state of waterlogging for a long time, it will cause yellow leaves or even rot and death.

4. Temperature

The most suitable temperature in summer is 15-25℃, and in winter it should be around 10℃. Frostbite may occur if the temperature is below 5℃.

5. Lighting

The light should not be too strong. When the temperature is high in summer, it is necessary to provide appropriate shade. The plant should not be exposed to light for a long time, as this may cause the leaves to die.

6. Notes

1. Watering degree: Keep the potting soil sufficiently moist in spring and autumn. Control the amount of watering in summer when the temperature is high. Also control the amount of watering after heavy pruning or pinching. Wait until new branches and leaves sprout before resuming normal watering.

2. Rain: Prevent the plant from being exposed to rain. If the soil in the pot has poor drainage, the roots will easily rot after rain.
