Cultivation methods and precautions of jasmine

Cultivation methods and precautions of jasmine

1. Soil

Cultivating Winter Jasmine requires fertile and well-drained acidic soil. Do not use alkaline soil, as it may prevent it from growing normally.

2. Watering

You can water it more often before and after it blooms, and also water it more often in the hot summer. You can also spray some water on the ground to maintain the humidity in the air. Drain the water in time during the rainy season. Once water accumulates in the potting soil, it will cause root rot.

3. Lighting

It needs more light before it blooms, but it does not need sunlight during the flowering period. It is best to place it in a semi-sun and semi-shaded room. When the temperature is high in summer, it needs to be properly shaded.

4. Fertilization

When it is growing, apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once every 15 days or so; during the flower bud differentiation period, more phosphorus fertilizer should be applied to help the flower buds grow faster; in order to ensure bright flower colors, you can apply organic liquid fertilizer once before flowering.

5. Notes

1. Bloom early: If you want it to bloom early, you can place it in a sunny room with a slightly higher temperature. After flowering, the indoor temperature should be kept at 8°C. The higher the room temperature, the faster the flowers will wither. Do not let the wind blow directly, which can effectively extend the flowering period.

2. Pests and diseases: When pests and diseases occur, the first thing to do is to remove the diseased leaves or weeds, and then spray them with pesticides to eliminate them.
