Cultivation methods and precautions of Australian fir

Cultivation methods and precautions of Australian fir

1. Soil

Australian cedar grows best in well-drained, humus-rich sandy soil, preferably slightly acidic.

2. Watering

In spring and autumn, just water it appropriately. In summer, when the temperature is high, water it promptly and spray water on the ground or around it to lower the temperature and increase the humidity. In winter, reduce the amount of watering to increase its resistance to cold. The amount of watering should be controlled at ordinary times to avoid water accumulation.

3. Lighting

It likes a growing environment with diffused light. It should not be exposed to strong sunlight for a long time, nor should it be placed in the shade for a long time. It should receive appropriate sunlight so that its leaves will be greener.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature is 10-25℃, the maximum temperature cannot be higher than 32℃, and the minimum temperature cannot be lower than 5℃.

5. Notes

1. Pests and diseases: Pests and diseases rarely occur in Australian cedar. Scale insects are very common when raised indoors, and they must be sprayed with pesticides to avoid harming more branches and leaves.

2. During its growth period, the pot should be rotated frequently to ensure that it receives even light to prevent the main trunk from tilting in one direction. During normal maintenance, the side branches should also be protected to avoid damage that affects the plant shape.
