1. Kapok cutting method

1. Cutting time: It is recommended to propagate kapok by cuttings in spring when the climate, temperature and humidity are very suitable, which is conducive to the survival and rooting of the cuttings.

2. Choose cuttings: Cuttings should be selected from branches that are less than three years old, as they have stronger germination ability. The length should be controlled at about 7 cm. Cut off all the leaves on the top and leave only the top two leaves.

3. Preparation of the slotting bed: The height of the slotting bed is controlled at 50 cm, the length is 5 meters and the width is 2 meters. The bottom should be covered with 5 cm deep vegetable garden soil and a 3 cm thick layer of sand on the surface.

4. Insert the cuttings into the soil: After the cutting bed is prepared, you can insert the cuttings into the soil. When taking cuttings, insert the cuttings directly into the cutting bed, the depth should be about half of the cuttings. After planting, the surrounding soil should be compacted, straw should be laid, and water should be sprayed on it to maintain a certain temperature and humidity. The rooting process of cuttings is slow, usually taking a month or so, so be patient.
