Pansy Seed Germination Method

Pansy Seed Germination Method

The purpose of germinating pansies is to shorten the germination time and increase the germination rate of seeds. Only with reasonable germination can pansies grow normally. When germinating, you can wrap the pansy seeds with a wet paper towel and then place them in an environment of 5 to 8 degrees for germination.

Pansy germination method

First, take half a piece of toilet paper and fold it into a square. Then put the paper towel into a small plastic zipper bag. Add a little water to allow the paper towel to fully absorb the water. Then pour the seeds into the bag, seal the bag and place it in the refrigerator. Keep the temperature between 5-8 degrees. After about 6-7 days, take out the seeds and sow them.

Pansy seedling cultivation

The first step is to prepare the seeds, then bury them deep in good quality soil, adjust the temperature of the pansy growth environment to between 18-21 degrees, avoid direct sunlight after sowing, and they will germinate in about 7 days.

The second step is that when the seedlings grow four small leaves, they can be transplanted. When transplanting, make sure the roots are covered with soil. After the seedlings grow out, they need to be transplanted into a larger pot. Always keep the soil in the pot moist.

Step 3: Appropriate fertilization is required in the early growth stage, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, and phosphorus fertilizer is mainly used during the flowering period. Pay attention to timely cutting off the dead branches and flowers on the plant, which can encourage the plant to grow new branches and bloom more flowers.
