How to grow white orchid indoors

How to grow white orchid indoors

1. Soil

When growing white orchids indoors, you need to use soil with good drainage, preferably acidic soil containing humus. If alkaline soil is used, it will affect the normal growth of the plants. In addition, it is best not to use soil that is too sticky, as it will affect normal drainage.

2. Lighting

When caring for it indoors, it must receive sufficient light, especially during the growing period, giving it about 6 hours of sunlight a day. However, shade is needed when the sun is strong to prevent the leaves from being burned.

3. Water

White jasmine is suitable for growing in a humid environment. It can be watered every 2-3 days in spring and autumn. In summer, the weather will be relatively dry, so it needs to be watered once in the morning and evening. When the temperature is lower in winter, the watering frequency can be extended to once every 10 days. When watering, pay attention to the room temperature and try to keep it close to room temperature.

4. Fertilization

During its vigorous growth period, it is necessary to apply fertilizer in time, and the principle of applying small amounts of fertilizer frequently should be followed. After fertilizing, loosen the soil as much as possible to keep the soil air permeable, otherwise the soil will become compacted, affecting the plant's absorption of nutrients.

5. Pruning and repotting

White jasmine grows very fast, so the withered branches should be pruned away, and old and diseased branches should also be removed if found. Generally, repotting is necessary after 2-3 years of cultivation to help the plant growth.
