The difference between bowl lotus and water lily

The difference between bowl lotus and water lily

1. The difference between leaves

The leaves of the bowl lotus are round, with the stem's starting point in the middle, and a small white dot in the middle. Its leaves are divided into floating leaves and upright leaves, that is, some of the leaves float on the water and some of the leaves extend above the water surface.

The leaves of water lilies are round or nearly round, and some varieties are arrow-shaped or lanceolate. There will be a notch on one side of the leaf, and the point where the stem is made will be on the side of this notch. There are only floating leaves on the water surface.

2. The difference between flowers

The petals of the bowl lotus are nearly round. The flowers extend above the water surface and bloom in the air. The flowers are usually red and yellow, and small lotus seeds are left after blooming.

The petals of water lilies are narrower and longer than the former, the entire flower and leaves are larger, the flowers are close to the water surface, and the colors are diverse, generally pink, white, red, and yellow. After blooming, generally nothing is left.
