The difference between hops and beer paste

The difference between hops and beer paste

1. Hops

Hops is a herbaceous plant with dense hairs on its stems, branches and petioles. Its leaves are oval, the base is heart-shaped or nearly round, the edges are serrated, the surface is densely covered with small prickles, the male flowers are arranged in panicles, and the fruit clusters are cone-shaped. The fruit clusters are used for making beer. Mature fresh hops can be made into hop extract.

Beer paste is also called hop extract. The production process is to crush the raw materials and use special technology to form a golden to amber viscous liquid with a typical hop aroma. Its use is to give beer a refreshing taste and unique aroma, help remove protein from the wort, make the beer clear and transparent, help with foaming, and have a preservative function.
