1. Difference of blades

The leaves of the spotted leaf orchid are ovate or ovate-lanceolate, about 3-8 cm long and 0.8-2.5 cm wide. The upper side is green with white dots, the back side is light green, the tip is acute, and the base is broadly cuneate or nearly circular.

The leaves of golden thread orchid are oval or ovate, much smaller than the former, about 1.3-3.5 cm long and 0.8-3 cm wide. The upper side is dark purple or black purple with golden red network veins, the back side is light purple-red, the tip is slightly blunt, and the base is round or nearly truncated.

2. The difference between flowers

The spotted leaf orchid has a racemose inflorescence, lanceolate bracts, and small flowers that are white or pink. The petals are rhombus-shaped and oblanceolate, and the lip is ovate.

The leaves of golden thread orchid are racemes, the bracts are ovate-lanceolate, and the flower color is similar to the former, white or light red. The petals are sickle-shaped.
