How to identify hybrid chrysanthemums

1. Plants

Hybrid medallion has underground stems, the plant is about 30 to 50 cm tall, most of the leaves are clustered from the base, and there are relatively few stem leaves. The flowers usually open during the day and close at night.

2. Leaves

The leaves of hybrid medallion grow in clusters from the base of the plant. The leaves are lanceolate or obovate-lanceolate, with entire margins or shallow pinnates, and dense white hairs on the back of the leaves.

3. Flowers

The flowers of the hybrid medallion are capitate, solitary, and surrounded by ligulate flowers in colors such as yellow, orange-red, etc., with a brown-black base. The petals are shiny and the flower is about 7 to 8 cm in diameter. The flowering period is from April to May.
