Cultivation method of colorful thousand-year-old wood

Cultivation method of colorful thousand-year-old wood

1. Soil

The colorful elm prefers to grow in loose, well-ventilated soil, because its roots do not absorb water very well. If it is cultivated in sticky soil, water accumulation will easily occur, which is not conducive to its growth.

2. Lighting

Relatively speaking, it likes to grow in sunny places, and it should be placed in a location with bright light for daily care, otherwise the leaves will become very soft and the color will be very light. Note that it should not be placed in a place exposed to direct sunlight in the summer; it can receive sunlight in the other three seasons.

3. Water

It likes a slightly moist growing environment and the air humidity should be high enough. Do not water too much during normal breeding, and do not allow water to accumulate in the planting soil. Wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. The climate will be somewhat dry in spring and autumn, so it is best to spray some water appropriately, and you can use rainwater for spraying.

4. Fertilization

During the growth period of the colorful thousand-year-old tree, when the temperature is around 20℃, nitrogen-based fertilizer can be applied once a week. Fertilization must be done in thin layers and frequently. In summer and autumn, you can apply an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer. Do not use concentrated fertilizer or raw fertilizer. When there is hypertrophy on the leaves of the plant, it should be washed off with water in time.
