What fertilizer is best for cyclamen?

What fertilizer is best for cyclamen?

1. By element

Before choosing fertilizer for it, we need to consider what nutrients it needs. In addition to the general elements, namely P, N, and K, it also needs trace elements such as Zn, P, Mg, Fe, and Cu.

Let’s talk about the main elements first, namely N, P, and K. In the early stage of its growth, the fertilizer we give it requires a ratio of N, P and K of 1:1:1; after it grows to a certain stage, we need to provide more K element, and the ratio of the three elements can be changed to 1:1:2; and after it slowly matures, we need to increase the ratio of K element again, so that the ratio of the three elements becomes 1:1:3.

As for trace elements, we can use some solutions to supplement them. For example, Fe can be supplemented with FeSO4. Be careful that the concentration must not be too high, otherwise it will damage the plants.

3. Press fertilizer

There are many fertilizers on the market. We can apply urea, which is a common and popular fertilizer on the market. In addition, there are some fertilizers specially used for flowers, such as Huaduoduo, Bikaihua and Biwang, which can be used as fertilizers. Of course, we can also use full-element nutrient solution. This kind of fertilizer can be added to water when watering, so that its flowers will bloom larger and more.

3. Notes

When the temperature is relatively high, we need to reduce the amount of flower fertilizer used, and some smaller varieties need to further reduce the amount of fertilizer used. Also, we cannot fertilize it too heavily each time, and it is only necessary to fertilize it once every ten days during the growing period. It does not need nitrogen during the flowering period. Of course, there is one thing that everyone knows, that is, flower fertilizer cannot be poured directly on the head, we only need to pour the fertilizer on the soil. If the concentration is particularly low, you can spray it directly on the leaves, but if it is blooming, you must avoid letting the flowers and buds get on it.
