How to grow yew trees

How to grow yew trees

1. Lighting

The yew tree does not like sunlight very much. During the cultivation period, you should pay attention to giving it appropriate diffuse light and avoid direct sunlight. You can place it in the living room and other places for maintenance. In addition, there should be as much ventilation as possible to ensure that the plants breathe fresh air during their growth period.

2. Water

It is necessary to replenish water in time to prevent the leaves of the plant from wilting and drooping. In spring and autumn, it is recommended that you replenish water for it every 5-7 days. Lack of water will hinder its normal growth. When the temperature is high in summer, you can water more often, about once every 3 days. In winter, you need to control the watering, once a week or once every ten days.

3. Pruning

Attention should be paid to pruning during the breeding period. During the growth process, it may have dead leaves, yellow leaves and diseased leaves due to improper maintenance methods. Prune as soon as possible after discovering them. Especially diseased leaves, if not pruned in time, will spread to more branches and leaves. In addition, some dense branches also need to be thinned out.

4. Disease and Pest Control

If you find that the plants are infested by pests and diseases, you must take timely measures to prevent and control them, otherwise the effect will not be very good. Root rot is a common disease and also one of the more serious ones, because it is usually very serious when it is discovered. You should spray it with some Bordeaux liquid for prevention every time the season changes.
