How to grow Jacaranda on the balcony, what should you pay attention to

How to grow Jacaranda on the balcony, what should you pay attention to

1. Lighting requirements

Jacaranda can be grown in potted plants and is more suitable to be placed on the balcony. Although it can tolerate partial shade, it still needs sunlight. It needs to be fully exposed to sunlight during the growing period to synthesize nutrients and promote the healthy growth of the plant. However, it cannot withstand strong light. The temperature is high in the hot summer and the sunlight is very strong, so it needs proper shading to avoid direct sunlight on the leaves.

2. Temperature range

The temperature suitable for breeding is best kept at around 22-30 degrees. This range is conducive to growth and development and should not have large fluctuations. Special attention should be paid in winter, as it cannot tolerate the cold. If the temperature on the balcony is below 15 degrees, growth will stop. Warmth measures should be taken, or it should be moved directly indoors to safely overwinter.

3. Soil requirements

It has requirements for soil when it grows, and can provide fertile, moist sandy loam, which can not only meet its growth needs but also increase drainage and ventilation effects.

4. Apply water and fertilizer

It likes to grow in a humid environment, and water is essential. During the growing period, water should be provided according to the growth trend to ensure that the soil in the pot is thoroughly watered. There should be no lack of water that will lead to drought. You also need to pay attention to fertilization. Apply enough base fertilizer when planting in pots. In the later stage of growth, apply top dressing once in spring and autumn.
