The difference between trumpet creeper and rose

The difference between trumpet creeper and rose

1. Different varieties

Trumpet creeper is a plant of the Bignoniaceae family and the genus Trumpet creeper. It is also called five-clawed dragon, bignoniaceae, red flowered water lily, hanging fuchsia, and hanging wall flower. It is a climbing shrub with aerial roots that can cling to other places and can climb along the wall to higher positions. The stem is woody.

Rose is a plant of the Rosaceae family and the genus Rosa. It generally refers to the multi-flowered rose, and can also be used to refer to all such rose plants. Although it is also a climbing plant, its climbing ability is weaker. Some varieties can climb, but some cannot.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of Trumpet Creeper are odd-pinnate compound leaves with 7-9 leaflets, ovate to ovate-lanceolate in shape, gradually pointed at the top, about 3-6 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, and there is no hair on both sides of the leaves.

The leaves of rose have 5-9 leaflets, which are obovate or oblong in shape, about 1.5-5 cm long and 0.8-2.8 cm wide. They are relatively narrow compared to the former, and the leaves are hairless on the top and have a little soft hair on the bottom.

3. Different flowers

Trumpet creeper has sparse short panicles. The calyx is bell-shaped and about 3 cm long. The inside of the corolla is bright red and the outside is orange-yellow.

Rose flowers are clustered and arranged in cone-shaped inflorescences. The diameter of the flowers is about 1.5-2cm, and the flowers come in many colors.
