How to grow trumpet creeper on the balcony, what should be paid attention to

1. Lighting

The growth of trumpet creeper cannot be separated from the support of sunlight, and it is more conducive to growth in an environment with sufficient sunlight. If it is grown in a potted plant at home, it can be placed on the balcony for maintenance. Such sufficient light can be conducive to growth, and the entire plant can accumulate nutrients to maintain the needs of growth and flowering. It can accept direct sunlight, but cannot be grown on a north balcony. If it is grown in semi-shaded scattered light, the plant will grow weak and prone to poor growth.

2. Water

Trumpet creeper is slightly drought-resistant, but it grows better in a moist environment and needs to be watered frequently during the growing season. Keep the soil in the pot slightly moist. It enters a dormant stage after winter, during which time the amount of water required decreases, so keep the soil in the pot slightly dry.

3. Fertilization

Fertilizer is needed during daily growth and flowering. Sufficient base fertilizer needs to be added to the soil when potting to maintain the needs of later growth. Fertilize regularly every 10 to 15 days during normal growth. Starting from June, foliar fertilizer needs to be sprayed on the leaves. After winter, the plant will enter a dormant period, so do not fertilize at this time.

4. Pruning

It grows vigorously in spring and needs regular pruning to remove weak branches, overgrown branches, dead branches and diseased branches to promote the sprouting of new branches.
