How to grow broccoli

1. Soil

Broccoli grows best in loose, breathable and well-drained soil. The soil can be made by mixing bean dregs, leaf mold and some base fertilizer.

2. Lighting

It likes to grow in places with sufficient light. Sufficient light will provide it with sufficient nutrients and make its appearance more beautiful. It can be planted on an indoor balcony or outdoors in a sunny place. When the sun is strong in summer, appropriate shading is needed.

3. Watering

When growing cauliflower, the soil needs to be kept moist but not waterlogged. In summer, spring and autumn, water the plants every 3-5 days, and in winter, water the plants every 7 days. If planted outdoors, drain the water frequently when it rains heavily to prevent it from getting sick.

4. Temperature

It likes to grow in a warm environment, and temperatures that are too high or too low are not conducive to its growth. The best time to plant is in spring and fall. The most suitable growth temperature for it is 14-24℃. It needs proper shading when planted in summer and insulation measures in winter.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer. During the rosette stage, it needs to be applied with nitrogen fertilizer and potassium chloride mixed fertilizer two to three times. During the flower ball expansion period, it needs to apply phosphorus fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer. The leaves need to be sprayed with some flower fertilizer containing trace elements such as boron, molybdenum, and magnesium.
