Cultivation methods and precautions of octagonal lotus

1. Soil

The soil for growing star anise should be loose, water-conserving, fertile and contain humus. It is best to prepare your own soil, which is a mixture of garden soil, fine sand and rotten leaf soil. This kind of soil is the most suitable for breeding.

2. Water

During the growth period, it should be given enough water because of its high water demand. It should be watered once a day, and once in the morning and evening in summer. The amount of watering should be based on thorough watering without water accumulation. This will ensure that the plant absorbs water and grows faster and better.

3. Nutrients

The demand for fertilizer of the star anise lotus is not much, and nitrogen fertilizer can be used during its development period. It is best to apply fertilizer once every half a month. When applying fertilizer, keep away from the roots to avoid burning the roots. The branches and leaves that absorb sufficient nutrients will become plump and strong.

4. Lighting

The octagonal lotus is accustomed to sufficient light, but does not like strong light. Too strong light will sunburn the plant. It is suitable for growing in an environment with scattered light. If the plant absorbs enough sunlight, its leaves will become thick and strong.
