How to grow and cultivate bowl lotus?

Bowl lotus is deeply loved by flower lovers for its delicate and small appearance and fresh and refined flowers. However, some flower lovers encountered the problem of water lilies not blooming during the maintenance process. Next, let’s learn how to grow and cultivate bowl lotus.

1. Choose the right flower pot

Bowl lotus needs a larger space to stretch its roots, so you should choose a large enough flowerpot instead of just planting it in a vegetable bowl.

2. Ensure sufficient light

Bowl lotus likes scattered light and needs plenty of sunlight to promote growth. Keeping it indoors for a long time may affect its growth.

3. Protect the terminal bud

The terminal bud of the bowl lotus is crucial to its growth. When planting, avoid damaging the terminal bud to avoid affecting the growth of new leaves and flowering.

4. Reasonable fertilization

It is not advisable to apply too much fertilizer to the bowl lotus during the critical growth period to avoid excessive nutrition. Before winter comes, move it to a sunny place indoors and change the soil and repot it in spring.

5. Correct watering method

It is recommended to water the water lily in the morning and evening every day to keep sufficient water in the flowerpot. Use spraying method for watering to avoid direct pouring of water which may damage the tender buds.

In short, although bowl lotus and water lily are similar, they are different plants and their maintenance methods are also different. Caring for water lilies requires care and patience, and understanding their growth habits and needs in order to grow beautiful flowers.
