How to sow

Sprinkle the prepared moth and butterfly flower seeds evenly on the prepared soil, and sprinkle a layer of soil on top of the seeds. Since the seeds of the moth flower are relatively large, the final covering soil should also be thicker, not less than 3mm.

Post-sowing management of moth and butterfly flower

Moth and butterfly flower is propagated by sowing, and seedlings will usually emerge about a week after sowing. Before the seedlings emerge, it is necessary to build a shade net on the seedbed to provide shade, which can reduce temperature and retain moisture. After the seedlings emerge, the shade net should be removed to ensure that the young seedlings of moth orchid receive sufficient light. In the early stages of seedling growth, watering needs to be controlled. Divide the seedlings in time and control the growth height of the moth and butterfly flower plants.

Transplanting and planting

Basically, when the moth flower seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, they can be divided and transplanted. First use a smaller pot to grow seedlings, shade them, and then give them normal light after the seedlings have grown.

When the seedlings of moth orchid grow 6-7 leaves, they can be potted. Flower pots with a diameter of about 15 cm are generally used, and it is best to keep the original soil when transplanting.
