You should also pay attention to maintenance after the cuttings, otherwise it is easy to cause plant damage.

Cutting time of yellow jasmine

Yellow jasmine can be cut from March to July every year . In the hot summer, it is difficult to control the temperature, so it is best to choose the warm spring, which is more conducive to rooting and survival after cutting.

How to take cuttings of yellow horn orchid tree

1. Choose buds

You need to choose the strongest branch on the mother plant , cut off a 7 to 10 cm length, and then place it in a cool and ventilated environment to allow the cut to dry slightly.

2. Choose the soil

The soil should be loose and fertile , and then humus, garden soil and perlite should be mixed in a ratio of 4:3:3 to ensure fertility and permeability.

3. Insert the seeds into the soil

Insert the yellow jasmine buds into the prepared potting soil , 3 cm deep, press the soil firmly, and then water it to moisten the soil. Then place it in a cool and ventilated place. After about half a month, the cuttings will grow new roots and sprout new buds.

In the first half month after the successful cutting of the yellow jasmine, you must water it slightly until 15 days later , then resume normal watering . In spring and autumn, water it once every 3-4 days, in summer, water it once every morning, and in winter, water it once every 7-8 days.

2. Lighting

In the first half of a month, as long as the yellow jasmine is placed in a shaded and ventilated environment , the light intensity can be gradually increased after 15 days. In summer, appropriate light should be provided from 7 to 9 am and 6 to 7 pm. It should be placed in the shade at other times. In spring and autumn, it only needs to be placed in indoor light, and in winter, it should be exposed to full sunlight.
