How to grow the fragrant vine in winter

Temperature Management

The fragrant vine is a plant that prefers a warm and sunny growing environment.

Therefore, if you want the fragrant vine to safely survive the winter, the ambient temperature must be at least above 10°C. This will create a warm growing environment for the fragrant vine and help it grow normally in winter.

Fertilizer and water management

When watering the fragrant vine, you should water it enough, but don't let water accumulate. However, you should pay attention to the winter, which is different from watering in other seasons. When caring for the fragrant vine in winter, you should reduce the amount of watering. Water it only when you see the pot soil is dry. If the pot soil is not dry at all, don't water it.

When watering, stop watering as soon as you see the soil in the pot is slightly wet, and then place it in a sunny place for maintenance;

There is no need to fertilize the fragrant vine in winter, because the fragrant vine needs to hibernate in winter to protect the plant from frost damage. Once fertilizer is applied, the leaves, rhizomes, etc. of the plant will grow, which will frostbite the new parts and make it impossible to survive the winter safely.

Therefore, stop fertilizing in winter and wait until the temperature rises before slowly fertilizing.

Lighting Management

The growth of the fragrant vine is absolutely inseparable from light, so when caring for it in winter, you can place it on a balcony or windowsill where there is sunlight.

This will ensure sufficient light, but also pay attention, if you find that the leaves of the plant become soft or yellow during this process, you should immediately shade it appropriately, and avoid direct sunlight all the time.
