How to water the red flower

The preference of the red-flowered safflower for water

Red flowered sempervivum is a plant that likes sunshine and moisture. Generally, the humidity of the growing environment is required to reach 50% but not exceed 65%. Excessive waterlogging is also not allowed, as waterlogging will accelerate the death of red flowered sempervivum. In addition, if the plant can receive 14 hours of light every day, its growth will reach the best state. The light here refers to natural light, and strong light and warm light are not included.

Watering period and amount of red flower succulent

spring

Spring is generally the season when various flowers begin to sprout, and of course the red flower sempervivum is the same. Therefore, the water demand and nutrient content required at this time are relatively large. Therefore, you can water it more appropriately in spring. Of course, watering more does not mean that you should water it blindly. Just keep the air humidity between 50% and 65%. It is best to keep it appropriately moist and keep the air humidity in the growth environment of the red flower sempervivum above 60%. It should also be emphasized that if it is a potted plant, it is sufficient to water it once every one or two days.

summer

Summer is the most difficult season to water flowers. Once summer comes, the temperature rises, especially at noon. On the one hand, people worry about not having enough water, and on the other hand, they are afraid that watering in the middle of the day will damage the stomata of the plants and even cause the death of the flowers. Here, I will tell you a little trick. In summer, especially when the sun is at its hottest, you can shade the red flower sempervivum. If you want to water, concentrate on the morning and evening, and avoid the hottest time of the day at noon.

autumn

Autumn is the season when the weather turns cooler, and the growth rate of plants also begins to slow down, so the amount of watering can be controlled. There is no need to water it frequently. Basically, watering it once every four or five days is enough to maintain the vitality of the red flower sempervivum.

winter

The temperature is lower in winter, and watering once a week is enough to meet the requirements of the red flower sempervivum. However, even in winter, there are times when the temperature is relatively high. At this time, the watering cycle should be shortened and watered once every three to four days. In addition, the outdoor temperature is relatively low in winter, so it is best to place the red flower sempervivum indoors for cultivation. If conditions permit, it is best to place it in a greenhouse for cultivation.
