Cyclamen maintenance in four key periods

Cyclamen seedling care

It is actually very important to take care of cyclamen during its seedling stage. Only if it is well cared for during the seedling stage can it grow and bloom better.

After the cyclamen seedlings are potted, the true leaves generally need to be exposed. As the seedlings continue to grow, they need to be repotted in time to allow them to have a wider growth space.

In addition, during the seedling stage of cyclamen, attention should be paid to shading, and the soil should be kept loose, and water and fertilizer management should be done well, so that the seedlings can grow quickly and healthily.

Summer care of cyclamen

Summer is actually a difficult period for cyclamen to grow, because the temperature is too high and the light is too strong, which is not conducive to the growth of cyclamen. Therefore, it is necessary to provide shade in time and keep scattered light. And cool down appropriately, you can water more appropriately, but be careful not to fertilize at this time.

Cyclamen flowering period care

Cyclamen actually has two flowering periods in a year, one in November and the other in December.

Generally, in order to make it bloom better, you need to apply some thin fertilizer before flowering and increase the air humidity. After the first flowering, you can cut off some withered branches and trim the flower buds in time, so that the second flowering can be relatively quick.

Care of Cyclamen after flowering

After cyclamen blooms, it also needs to be cultivated properly to facilitate flowering next year.

Basically, after cyclamen blooms, the plant will wither. At this time, you can put the flowerpot in a cooler place, take it out after about a week, cut off the roots, stems and leaves, and replant it. It can still grow in spring.
