How to propagate succulent money tree

How to propagate succulent money tree

time

Its growing season is from September to May of the following year. In fact, it just avoids the summer. The summer climate is not suitable for the growth of succulents, and summer is a torture for them. Especially for novice succulent growers, try to choose autumn.

method

Stem cuttings

Select mature and relatively strong stems with plump fleshy leaves and cut them. Each stem should have two nodes. However, before inserting them into the soil, you should place them in a cool place to dry for a day or two. After the cut end has completely dried during the observation period, insert them into the potting soil. This can effectively prevent the occurrence of rot symptoms after insertion. If the soil is kept slightly moist, new roots will grow easily.

Leaf cuttings

Select mature, sturdy, fleshy leaves, cut them off, then place them on the soil to dry naturally for 1 to 2 days. Make sure to place them flat, and keep the soil and the environment moist. After about 20 days, you will see new small roots growing, and new shoots will slowly grow. During this period, be sure not to allow the soil and air to become dry.

Regardless of the propagation method, when choosing the potting soil, you should choose soil that is more breathable and water-permeable.

Okay, now everyone should have learned these two methods and can try them yourself. If there are still children who don’t know how to do it, you can teach them!
