To turn one rose into 10, you only need one small move, and everyone can learn it!

To turn one rose into 10, you only need one small move, and everyone can learn it!

1. Rose propagation techniques

First, choose a branch that has just finished flowering. Such branches are full of vitality and take root quickly.

Cut off the remaining flowers on the branches, remove the leaves in the middle part of the branches, and use a knife to peel the branches in a circle, about 1 cm in length. Be careful to peel the bark cleanly, completely exposing the wood.

Then find a flowerpot and fill it with loose and breathable substrate, a mixture of nutrient soil, vermiculite, perlite, etc. Press the processed branches into the flowerpot. To prevent the branches from popping out, you can press them down with stones.

Water the plants every day to keep the soil in the pot moist. When you see new branches and leaves growing out of the branches, it means that the part pressed in the soil has taken root. At this time, you can cut it off and put it in the pot!

Using this method to propagate roses has an almost 100% survival rate. Even if it fails, you can try again without causing any harm to the roses.

2 Rose breeding techniques

Huahua introduced a very useful breeding method above, but some flower lovers have also discovered that some rose branches are difficult to bend and they break once they are bent. What should they do? You can also use the following little method.

First, follow the same steps as above and cut off the remaining rose flowers. Then, use a knife to cut out a 1 cm space in the middle of the branch, near the bottom of the bud, remove the epidermis, and only keep the woody part.

Tips:

To avoid bacterial infection, it is best to disinfect the knife by roasting it over fire or soaking it in potassium permanganate alcohol.

Apply a little rooting powder to the wound to promote rooting, and then cover the wound with a plastic bag.

Use wire to tie the bottom of the plastic bag, not too tight, to make it easier for the branches to breathe.

Fill a plastic bag with moist sand and tie the bag shut.

In this way, you can see white roots in the bag in about a month. Then remove the plastic bag, cut down the rooted branches, choose loose and breathable soil, and put the branches in the pot.

After potting, you can place it in a cool and ventilated place for a period of time. After the branches resume growth, put it in a place with sufficient light for maintenance.
