How to propagate Dendrobium candidum

How to propagate Dendrobium candidum

1. Division

1. Choose plants with vigorous growth and lush branches and leaves, and take them out of the pots after they have bloomed.

2. Shake off the soil at the roots of the plant, then use a sharp knife to cut from the bottom of the stem.

3. Plant the original main plant and the newly divided plant separately, pay attention to the maintenance methods, and wait for the two to grow into independent plants. Keep them away from strong sunlight.

2. Cutting

1. The main plant selected for cuttings must be in good growth condition, free from the influence of diseases and pests, and must be strong and vigorous.

2. Cut a branch from the plant and divide it into several sections. Each section should have 2-3 nodes. Apply wood ash on the wound after cutting.

3. Prepare the substrate and then insert the stem nodes into it. Be careful to maintain good humidity and avoid exposure to strong sunlight.

3. Bud Division

1. This method is generally for plants with long growth periods. Small plants will appear above the plants after more than 3 years.

2. Cut these from the mother plant and plant them in pots.

4. Seeds

1. This method is not commonly used because the growth cycle is too long and the germination rate is low. If you want to use this method to propagate, you can take out the seeds first and then place them in a warm place.

2. Then sow the seeds and pay attention to the maintenance conditions.
