How to fertilize Schefflera

How to fertilize Schefflera

Precautions

When planting Schefflera, you need to pay attention to its light requirements. Duck's feet is a very easy plant to maintain. It can withstand certain high and low temperature conditions, and can grow normally in a weak light environment, especially in an environment with bright light and good ventilation, where it grows most rapidly. When planting in a home potted plant, it is necessary to ensure a reasonable and appropriate length of light every day, so that the Schefflera can grow more vigorously. Then make sure the temperature is around 20 degrees, and the temperature in winter can be maintained above 5 degrees.

How to fertilize

Speaking of fertilization, during the summer when Schefflera grows more vigorously, it is necessary to ensure that fertilizer is applied every seven days or so. If you are planting a variegated Schefflera, you should reduce the use of nitrogen fertilizer. If too much nitrogen fertilizer is used, the spots will gradually fade until they disappear. From April to September, Schefflera can be fertilized once every 30 days or so to ensure its normal growth. The fertilizer for the Schefflera should always be sufficient so as to prevent its leaves from falling off.

When applying fertilizer, try to ensure sufficient nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements. The use of nitrogen fertilizer should be moderate, not too much or too little, otherwise it will easily lead to the unsightly growth of Schefflera. When choosing fertilizers, choose those with appropriate nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content. Using soil containing humus can make the Schefflera grow luxuriantly and improve its aesthetics.
