Introduction to Arabidopsis Growth

Arabidopsis thaliana is widely distributed except for a few areas. It is planted in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Gansu, Tibet, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan and other provinces and regions in my country.

Arabidopsis growth cycle

Arabidopsis prefers a warm and humid environment. It can grow well only when the relative humidity of the air is relatively high. Otherwise, it will produce few fruits and the plant will easily dry up. It is suitable to be planted in loose, fertile and well-drained soil.

Arabidopsis has a short growth cycle, usually taking only 42 days from sowing to harvesting seeds.

Arabidopsis growth rate

Arabidopsis grows fast. If you sow the seeds directly in the soil, three days after vernalization, when the temperature is between 19 and 21 degrees and the air humidity is above 80%, you can see seedlings growing in about 5 days.

Arabidopsis growth cycle management

Temperature management: The optimal growth temperature for Arabidopsis thaliana is around 25 degrees. It has a certain degree of cold resistance and can tolerate high temperatures of 34 degrees, but it will affect the growth of the plant.

Fertilization management: Arabidopsis generally uses nutrient solution, the main ingredients of which are trace elements, iron salts and organic matter. It is usually prepared into a mother solution first, and then diluted with water when it is used.
