How to water the sweet olive

Watering method

Osmanthus fragrans likes moisture. Usually we plant Osmanthus fragrans in flower pots. Because of the flower pots, the water content of the soil is limited, which can easily cause dryness. If you don't water it in time, the sweet olive will wither and die. Avoid excessive watering, otherwise the plant will grow too tall. If the soil in the flowerpot is always too wet, the roots will not be able to absorb oxygen normally, which can easily cause root rot of the plant. When cultivating thyme, the amount of water should be properly controlled before bud formation, mainly to promote the differentiation of seedlings. In the later stage, the soil should not be too dry, and a certain amount of moisture should be guaranteed, as long as there is no water seepage. In summer and autumn, water the plants twice a day, avoiding watering during the hottest periods. In spring, water the plants once every other day. In winter, water evaporates slowly, so you can water it after a period of time. During the rainy season or on rainy days, avoid waterlogging to prevent the roots of the sweet olive from rotting and dying.

Management methods

The sweet olive should be repotted every two or three years, either in spring or autumn. The weather is warm and the temperature is relatively moderate. The size of the pot should be selected according to the growth of the plant. When repotting, trim the roots of the sweet olive and then place a small amount of organic matter at the bottom of the pot to ensure the growth of the plant. If you don't change the soil when repotting, you don't have to consider the season. Maybe you just want a new pot.
