How to raise a green mage

How to raise a green mage

1. Light temperature

It likes warm and sunny areas, is drought-resistant, and can endure severe temperatures as low as -2°C. If it drops below -3°C, it will be a little listless, but it will be able to recover as soon as the temperature rises.

If you keep it in a cool area for a long time, the color of its leaves will become lighter, it will grow wildly, and the petioles will become very thin. However, this variety is relatively easy to grow. As long as you pay attention to the light, it will be green and lush. The temperature for its growth is between -2℃ and 45℃, and it is best to move it indoors in winter. In summer, do not expose it to strong light for a long time, and use a shelter to block the light appropriately.

2. Soil

It is best to use fertile, breathable and well-drained soil, such as coal slag mixed with some peat and vermiculite, and then you can spread some river sand on the surface of the soil. If it is in a cool climate, its growth is visible, but in the summer, it will stop growing for a short time because it is too hot.

3. Pruning

If you want it to reproduce, you can cut off its leaf disk in early spring, insert it into the soil, and suckers will grow on the stems. This variety is easy to reproduce, and if it is not pruned, it can grow very tall and form a beautiful old stump. Occasionally there will be some small bugs, which can be directly removed with a tissue.

4. Watering

If it is newly planted, there is no need to water it in the first 3 days. In spring and autumn, water it once every 5-7 days, in hot season, water it once every half a month, and in cold winter, water it once every 15-20 days. It grows especially fast in winter, so it is best to let it dry after watering it to help it grow better. It is generally best to water it around ten in the morning. It is best to use a spray and avoid getting the leaves and flowers wet.
