How to breed Maiden Heart

How to breed Maiden Heart

Leaf cutting method

The leaves of Maiden Heart can produce a new plant. The method is similar to the process of other succulents reproducing offspring. Because succulents do not have seeds, reproduction can only rely on leaves and branches. The leaf cutting method is to use the cut or fallen maidenhair tree leaves, dry them in the sun for one or two days to allow the wounds to heal, and then prepare a culture container. The soil should be the same as that in the original plant pot. There is no need to water it, and even dry soil can allow the leaves to take root.

The operation is also very simple. Place the maiden heart leaf you just took off on it, and then move it to a slightly cooler place with better air circulation.

Cutting method

The so-called cutting method is what everyone imagines. Use scissors or other tools to directly cut off a branch of the maiden heart, prepare the same cultivation environment as the leaf cutting method, and then this time it is not simply thrown away. You need to wait for the wound to dry, and then insert it vertically into the soil, and then it will slowly take root.

In general, Maiden Heart is much easier to propagate than other similar succulents. Although the name of Maiden Heart sounds weak, the plant is actually very strong and robust, and has a very high survival rate when reproduced. Moreover, reproduction can take place at any time of the year without being affected by the external environment or climate.
