How often should I water the double-line arrowroot?

1. Watering time

There are different times for watering, and different methods should be adopted for watering at different times. This plant is no exception. Generally speaking, this plant can be watered three times a day, namely morning, noon and evening. The watering times are also different. In summary, the morning is for cleaning the leaves, the noon is for replenishing water, and the evening is for caring for the plants.

2. Watering Methods

Watering should be carried out according to the growth status of the plant, so you must pay attention to the period of the plant itself. From March to October every year, this plant grows very vigorously and has relatively high requirements for various conditions. In terms of humidity, during this period, it should be maintained at 75%-85%. Higher humidity makes it easier for the leaves of this plant to stretch and grow better, so it is necessary to replenish it diligently to prevent water shortage.

In summer, we recommend watering 3-4 times a day. The best way is to spray the leaves in the morning to increase the air humidity; during noon or afternoon, pour water into the soil so that the plants can get more water; at night, do it both above and below, and spray water mist several times to keep the humidity in a suitable range to ensure the reasonable growth of the plants.

In autumn and winter, this plant slowly slows down, so we can reduce watering appropriately during this period. Depending on the weather, you can choose to water it once a day. For places with high humidity, you only need to water it twice a week.

3. Notes

The leaves of this plant are very afraid of lack of water. Once they lack water, they will curl up. Then, as they continue to grow, they will become deformed, which is very unsightly, so you must pay attention to replenishing water.

In the summer, no matter how dry it is, you still need to pay attention to controlling the amount of water. If you really can't control it well, just water a little bit each time, divide it into several times a day, and keep the soil appropriately moist.

When the temperature is low, the soil should be drier to prevent frostbite.
