How to care for Jasmine potted plants

How to care for Jasmine potted plants

1. Choice of pots and soil

People who know it know that it has a very strong adaptability. It likes light, is cold-resistant and drought-resistant, so the requirements are not very strict when choosing the soil. It can grow in acidic, neutral and alkaline soils, but it must be loose and fertile to be conducive to its growth. After choosing the soil, you need to choose the pot for the potted plant. Because the flowers it blooms are yellow, when choosing a pot for planting, it is best to use a light blue, purple, or black pot, so that the color of the pot can be coordinated with the color of the flower.

2. Fertilizer and water

In February, we can apply organic fertilizer or compound fertilizer to it once, and if we find that it does not bloom or grows weakly, we should also fertilize it appropriately, which will help its growth. In addition, when it grows, it is inevitable to water it. When adding water, remember not to add water when it is not dry, otherwise it will easily accumulate water. In addition, it itself is afraid of the soil being too moist, so it will be detrimental to its growth. Generally, you should water it thoroughly when you first plant it, and then just keep the soil moist.

3. Temperature

It likes warm places very much, so the temperature should be controlled well in winter. If you are in the southern region, just place the potted plant in a sunny place sheltered from the wind and it can safely spend the winter. If you are in the northern region, you should transplant it indoors in early winter and keep the temperature at around 5 degrees.

4. Plastic surgery and maintenance

When it grows into a natural plant, all its sucker branches or lower branches should be cut off, leaving only three main trunks. Then the inner branches should be pruned appropriately, and the 2 to 3 small buds left on the branches of the previous year should be cut off. In this way, by the next year, it will bloom on the newly grown branches.
