How to pot bamboo orchid

How to pot bamboo orchid

1. Potting time

March to April in spring or October to November in autumn.

2. Potting method

First, use clean water to rinse off the soil at the roots of the dug plants. When rinsing, the roots should face upwards, and then rinse with pressure-free clean water. Be gentle with your hands so as not to hurt the roots. After rinsing, hold the roots with your hands and place them in the pot. If you cannot fix them, you can use bamboo chopsticks to help fix them.

Before placing the plants, put some gravel at the bottom of the pot to help it drain and breathe better, then fill it with soil. After placing the plants, cover it with soil. At this time, you can gently lift the plant up so that the roots can grow better. The height of the soil should be about 3/5 of the flower pot. Gently compact it with your hands. Finally, sprinkle 1.5 cm high large-grained planting material on the top. This completes the potting.

3. Notes

After potting, water should be started immediately and sufficiently. After water flows out from the bottom, water another 1/3 of the amount. Then place it in the shade, away from the sun. After about 1 month, you can place it in the sun, but avoid too strong light. At the same time, keep the humidity of the potting soil at around 60%. Be careful not to make it too wet or have water accumulation. The best placement is in semi-shaded (or only sunny in the morning) areas with good air circulation.
