Can lucky bamboo be planted in the soil?

Can lucky bamboo be planted in the soil?

1. Can it be planted in the soil?

It can not only be grown in water, but also planted in the soil, and in this way it can grow better, so soil cultivation is a very good method.

2. How to plant with soil

You can directly place the whole bamboo in soil with good air permeability and excellent drainage, preferably sandy soil, or soil with mud and sand. You can also cut it to about 10 cm and plant it in the soil. It needs relatively moist soil and can resist waterlogging, but is afraid of drought, so the soil must be moist enough. If it is too dry, the leaves will turn yellow. It should be watered every two or three days, and the frequency can be reduced in winter.

3. How to maintain soil cultivation

1. Temperature: It has the same requirements as water culture, both need to be 20-28℃, but you must be careful in winter, it cannot be too cold, otherwise it will easily get frostbite.

2. Light: It is suitable to be planted in a cool area and cannot be directly exposed to strong and stimulating light, otherwise its leaves will easily turn yellow. Just like when growing it in water, April to September is the best time to grow it in soil, because this is when its roots grow the fastest.

3. Potting soil: It can resist waterlogging, but is afraid of drought, so the soil must be kept slightly moist. If it is too dry, its leaves will turn yellow. You should spray some water on its leaves frequently to keep the humidity around it within a suitable range, otherwise the leaves will wither.

4. Add fertilizer: During its vigorous growth season, which is from May to September, you can add a little compound fertilizer to the soil two or three times a month, so that the leaves will be very lush.
