How to grow Kalanchoe so that it blooms

1. Appropriate fertilization

Kalanchoe is a fertilizer-loving plant, so it is necessary to fertilize it during the growing season, especially before flowering. From frost to October of the following year is the flower bud differentiation period of Kalanchoe, and fertilizer needs to be supplemented. Apply fish fertilizer mainly composed of phosphorus and potassium once a week, and apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once a month. Be careful not to apply too much fertilizer, otherwise it will burn the roots and cause poor growth.

2. Proper lighting

Kalanchoe loves light. Insufficient light will cause the plant to be short and produce fewer flowers. It can be placed in a well-lit place such as a balcony, with daily light exposure guaranteed for more than 4 hours and even lighting. In addition, avoid strong light at noon in summer when the sun is at its highest.

3. Increase the temperature

Kalanchoe is native to Africa, so it is heat-resistant but not cold-resistant. During growth, keep the temperature at 15-25℃. In winter, the indoor temperature should be 12-15℃ and should not be lower than 5℃. If the temperature is around 15℃ in winter, the flowers can bloom continuously.
