How to water succulents in summer

1. Watering principles

(1) Different varieties require different watering frequencies. Adjust watering according to the specific type.

(2) Water along the edge of the pot. Just water in small amounts, no need to water thoroughly. Just let the water diffuse in the medium on its own. However, if the ventilation is good and the container is breathable, you can water it thoroughly. You can also choose the quick immersion method.

2. Watering methods for different varieties

(1) Summer type: This variety grows vigorously in spring and autumn, so it is best to water it more often in these two stages, about three to six times a month. In order to prevent the plants from rotting in the summer, it is best to reduce the number of waterings to once to three times a month. In winter, succulents go dormant and only need to be planted once or twice a month.

(2) Winter type: This variety grows mainly in autumn and winter, so it grows two to four times a month in these two stages. In spring, as the temperature gradually rises, the frequency of watering should be reduced to one to three times a month. In summer, the plant will go dormant. When the soil is very dry, just water it in small amounts.

3. Watering time

Best in the evening or evening. The temperature will not be too high at this time. Moreover, after a night of ventilation, some moisture that is accidentally left behind can be evaporated.
