What to do if the Chinese evergreen grows too tall

What to do if the Chinese evergreen grows too tall

1. Change the maintenance environment

If the Chinese evergreen is not properly cared for indoors, it will grow too tall. The main cause of leggy growth is excessive watering, followed by insufficient light. It needs to receive sufficient light and watering should be controlled moderately.

2. Proper pruning

If the plant grows too tall, its branches should be pruned. Leave 3-4 leaves on the lower part of each branch and cut off all the branches on the upper part. After pruning, you can re-branch from the leaves and leaf buds retained at the bottom to form new branches. If the branches that grow out are still relatively tall, you can prune them repeatedly and they will grow shorter and fuller.
