How to grow goldfish spider plants until they overflow the pot

How to grow goldfish spider plants until they overflow the pot

1. Adequate sunlight

If you want the goldfish plant to bloom out of the pot, you must give it sufficient light. It is a plant that likes plenty of light and can tolerate partial shade. If it is kept in the shade for a long time, it will not be conducive to the formation of flower buds and will inhibit its flowering. During the maintenance period, except for providing appropriate shade in the summer to prevent it from being burned, it can be given sufficient sunlight at other times.

2. Adequate fertilizer

If you want the goldfish spider plant to bloom, you need enough fertilizer. It is a fertilizer-loving plant, so I must ensure that it has enough nutrition. When preparing the soil, you can mix in some decomposed organic fertilizer or slow-release compound fertilizer. During the growing season, you can apply a thin layer of liquid fertilizer every half a month.

3. Ensure moisture

The goldfish plant is a slightly water-loving plant. The potting soil should be kept moist and the surrounding environment should be kept humid enough. If it is placed in an environment that is too dry or lacks water for a long time, or if water accumulates in the pot soil for a long time, the roots will be damaged and flowering will be affected.

4. Timely pruning

The goldfish spider plant should be pruned in time. Its branches are relatively long and should be pruned in time. Generally, 2-3 layers of leaves are retained on each branch . The upper part is cut off, and the leaf buds retained below will sprout more branches. In time, there will be many branches in the flowerpot, growing to a certain size, and during the appropriate flowering period, the flower will bloom to the point of bursting the pot.
