How to repot azalea

1. Remove from the basin

Place the azalea that needs to be repotted horizontally and step on it to remove it from the pot.

2. Pruning

Take the plant out of the pot, remove some of the old soil, trim the roots, cut off old roots and diseased roots, and add a small amount of soil to the new pot.

3. Put it in the basin

Place the trimmed plant in a new pot, straighten it, allow its roots to stretch out, and slowly add soil. When adding soil, use your fingers to compact the surrounding soil so that the roots are fully in contact with the soil, which is conducive to rooting and survival. Don't fill the soil too full, leave about 3 cm of soil for easy watering later.

4. Watering

After planting in a new pot, the azalea should be watered thoroughly. You can use the immersion method to water it, immerse the entire pot in water, and wait for about 10 minutes before taking it out after the soil is wet. After repotting, place it in a semi-shaded place, spray water frequently, and wait for about half a month after the seedling acclimatization period before normal maintenance.
