What are the cultivation methods and precautions of Cyclamen

Cyclamen growth habits

Cyclamen prefers a warm growing environment and grows most robustly in soil containing humus. Cyclamen has a strong cold resistance and can grow slowly in winter. Cyclamen will enter a semi-dormant state in summer, so you must pay attention to controlling the temperature. The best temperature for cyclamen growth in winter is around 15 degrees, which can make it bloom quickly.

Cyclamen cultivation method

Soil: Cyclamen has fine and fleshy roots, so it requires loose and fertile soil. You can use peat and perlite in a 2:1 ratio, or use waste substrate from mushroom farming for cultivation.

Lighting: When caring for it, place it in a place with very good light, and move the position and direction of the flowerpot frequently to prevent one side from growing too tall. This will promote the flowering time and make the flowers bloom more and brighter.

Watering: Be sure to control the watering when watering cyclamen. Generally, you can wait until the leaves are wilted before watering, and do not let the leaves get any water when watering.

Fertilizer: Cyclamen needs sufficient fertilizer. During the growing period, it should be given a thin liquid fertilizer once a week to meet its growth needs.

Precautions for cultivating cyclamen

Increase humidity: Increase the indoor humidity appropriately, generally three quarters is best, so as to meet the plant's demand for water, making it grow more vigorously and bloom.

Improve ventilation: Frequently ventilate the growing environment of cyclamen to ensure the indoor humidity level so that it can bloom early.

Maintenance: When caring for cyclamen, the soil used for repotting and potting must be disinfected before use to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.
