How to grow cabbage

1. Planting time

Cabbage is planted in autumn. Early-maturing ones are sown in early to mid-August, while late-maturing ones are planted in late August.

2. Soil Selection

Cabbage can be grown in both the north and the south. It does not require much water and soil, and has strong adaptability. However, it is recommended to use loose, fertile, organic loam or sandy loam, which is more conducive to its growth.

3. Seed Processing

Before planting, soak the seeds in warm water for about 10 to 20 minutes, and then soak them in clean water for 8 to 10 hours. This will facilitate germination and later growth.

4. Sowing

After the seeds are processed, sprinkle them evenly on the soil surface, and then cover them with a layer of soil, just enough to cover the seeds. It should not be too thick as its soil-lifting ability is poor.

5. Time Seedling

After the seeds germinate, they need to be thinned out when they grow to about 2 to 3 cm. Dig a hole about 15 cm apart, put the seedlings in and water them so that they can grow better.
