Wintersweet seed planting method

Wintersweet seed planting method

1. Processing seeds

Generally speaking, not all wintersweet seeds purchased online are good. So before planting, it is best to screen them in advance. The specific method is to pour the seeds into warm water and soak them for about 24 hours. Afterwards, remove the seeds that float to the water surface, take out the seeds that sink to the bottom of the water, and place them on the windowsill to dry for later use.

2. Prepare the soil

The soil for planting it must meet the two conditions of being soft and thick. This will increase its germination rate. Specifically, you can prepare some leaf mold and then a small amount of river sand. After mixing them evenly, put them in the sun for 24 hours to disinfect. After that, it can be used.

3. Sowing

Pour most of the flower soil into the pot, smooth the soil surface, and set aside a small amount of flower soil for later use. Then take out the dried seeds and spread them evenly on the soil surface. Then lightly cover the seeds with the remaining soil. Be careful not to cover them too thickly, about 1 cm is enough, otherwise it will increase the difficulty of them sprouting.

4. Post-maintenance

After sowing, place it in semi-shade to avoid strong light. You should also check the condition of the flower soil and water it in time to keep it moist. In this way, it will sprout after about 7 days.
