Does Schisandra prefer yin or yang?

Schisandra chinensis, also known as Xuanji, Huiji and Wumeizi, is a sun-loving crop with relatively high requirements for light. The plant can only grow vigorously in places with sufficient light, but it is afraid of strong direct sunlight and exposure.

Does Schisandra chinensis like Yang?

Schisandra chinensis likes sunlight and needs sufficient scattered light during the growth period. It can be given full sun during normal maintenance, but the plant should not be exposed to strong light.

It is best not to expose Schisandra chinensis to strong light in the summer, because the stomatal diffusion resistance of the plant's leaves is low. If it is exposed to the sun at noon in summer, it will easily cause the leaves to lose water quickly.

Is Schisandra chinensis shade-tolerant?

Schisandra is a light-loving crop, but it is also shade-tolerant to a certain extent. It can be maintained in a semi-shaded environment at ordinary times, and should not be exposed to strong light in a dry environment.

Schisandra chinensis growth environment

Soil is very important for the growth of Schisandra chinensis. The plant prefers slightly acidic humus soil. It is best to choose thick, loose, and moisture-balanced soil for planting. Also, add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to the soil and control the temperature at 25-28℃.

Schisandra chinensis is water-loving and the plant is not drought-tolerant. It prefers a moist growing environment. It must be watered in time after sowing, but water should not be allowed to accumulate in the soil.
