How to grow lucky bamboo in water

Water-grown fortune bamboo prefers a high temperature and high humidity environment and is not cold-resistant. Adult trees can withstand a low temperature environment of 5-6 degrees. It is suitable for planting in fertile, loose, breathable and water-retaining acidic sandy loam. It is relatively resistant to water and humidity, and slightly drought-resistant. The water-grown money bamboo itself does not require too strong light. It can grow well under normal lighting conditions. It cannot grow for a long time in overly dark conditions. It is suitable for maintenance at a temperature of 20-30 degrees. It cannot survive for a long time under conditions below 8 degrees. The money tree is relatively drought-resistant and can grow in areas with limited water resources.

2. Lighting

  The requirements for light for money bamboo grown in water are not high, but it cannot be completely deprived of sunlight, as this will cause the leaves to turn yellow and grow poorly. It is best to place it in a bright, diffused light location so that it can be fully exposed to light.

3. Watering

During the maintenance of water-grown lucky bamboo, it is necessary to change the water, but the frequency of water changes should not be too frequent. Usually the water should be changed once a week. In the early stage of maintenance, the water can be changed more frequently, generally every 2-3 days, to keep the water clean.

4. Fertilization

When watering the water-grown fortune bamboo, you can add a little nutrient solution, or you can add a small amount of slow-release whole-vegetarian fertilizer into the water. This will meet the plant's need for fertilizer and promote its healthy growth.

5. Pruning

When pruning water-grown lucky bamboo, you must first choose a suitable pruning time, with March to April being the best. Then prepare sterilized gardening scissors and ensure that the cut is smooth. The main thing is to cut off dense branches, old branches, and diseased and weak branches to reduce nutrient consumption.

Precautions for water-growing lucky bamboo

When caring for the fortune bamboo grown in water, pay attention to the amount of water in the bottle. If the amount of water is low, add water as soon as possible. You can add a little nutrient solution when adding water. In addition, do not place it in places where air conditioners or electric fans often blow when caring indoors to prevent the leaves from drying out.
